I moved my plants from the top of the tank to the wall and placed 6500k cfl spot lights. They are growing better now but I have noticed the back of the plant closer to the tank and father from the light the leafs died. I didn't expect it but wasn't surprised. My question is should I get another spot light for back there or just leave it as is and focus on the the dense area where the leafs are bunching up and blocking light.

There is a window on the opposite side if the tank that lets natural light in and helps alot but only helps the leading edge of the plants because of very the angle.

I'de say it's time to cut/propigate. I'de encourage it to bush up more and perhaps make/buy a trellis for the vines, and focus the lighting on it. As the vines grow out of the trellis cut back and propigate more or simply toss out. eventually the plants will peak out on their help with water quality and start to die off from lack of nutrients. That and those bloody vines can be heavy, I'de be concerned about them dropping a line eventually? looks liek they are growing on power cords?
