Can someone plz ID this floating aquatic plant i found in a NY pond?

i only took off a piece because I didn't want to ruin the small pond i found it in. It was basically a naturally dammed up part of a stream. I have never seen this before.

no doesn't look like that. heres a pic of the other clump i have outside. i am going to give it to my friend who has a pond

Looks like Callitriche which is a genus of Water-Starworts

thanks bro. you are right. i see it isn't native. i should of got rid of all of it. ill keep it in my aquarium though.

Yeah but "native" plants are hard to locate in most areas, a lot of the "nuisance" plants in most states make great aquarium plants.
