For those of you that read my other thread my tap water comes out at AT LEAST 26 ppm Nitrate. (The water department admitted to this but thats another story) I figure I will probably have to invest in an RO if I want to keep fish keeping. I am looking mostly for ease of setup and quality components.
Thanks guys any links on where to buy is appreciated as well. :)

Thanks for the link purdy web site. Any one set up an RO and have first hand experience?

I had an RO but stopped using it. I bought mine to get ride of ammonia in the water. It was 1:2 ratio 6 stage dual DI R/O unit, but buyt the time I would by the chemicals to put in the r/o water, plus paid for 3 times the water; it just wasnt worth it. If you use 100% R/O DI water you will have to add minerals back to the water, that where removed in the R/O process. I will use this unit again when I get some discus and it will only be in a 55 gallon. R/O for large tanks is costly.

Thanks nfored !
