How can I tell for future reference? Since now I have to find a suitable male. Also since they are both female can I get just one male to breed with both? Maybe in the same tank or separate tanks but with one male JD?

females have a ton of blue on the lower jaw/ gill plate. males tend to not really have any there. Yours show a lot of the iridescent blue in the lower face indicative of a female.

Yup females here's my old male look at the gill plate almost no shine at the bottom now look at this female shows a lot of shine all over the gill plate
