kewl thanx.

so L's cost more than J's?
can they be kept with other fish, unlike jars?

well not as aggressive but still aggressive you can try ive seen Jars be kept with chiclid before and no problem but many are so aggressive that they kill everything.

so could they be kept with other agg species?
if so what?

i wouldn't recommend it, other fish being agressive will only bring out the tru agression of the leichardti... lei's would be better with relaxed fish so it doesn't have to go postal on others.

if u start them real young, there is a chance it could be so tame and calm. mine has yet to show any real agression. but then again its only 6-7". but keeping it with fish that are not similiar in shape/size to its self will help keep him calm. i have mine with rays/bichirs/dats and he's as relaxed as a silver arowana. minds his business and eats all day

You can be sure I'll post pics once I get my tank up and running. I cant really decide how to aquascape it though, I want alot of space for the rays to hide and stuff but I dont want to too just be substrate+water+fish.

Thats why I want to see other aro/ray tanks so I can get some ideas!

u dont wanna see my tank then, its jus bichirs/ray/lei with sand and water lol. i dont want them hidden all day and to much in the tank takes away swimming space. i had plants n stuff but they just hide in it all day.
