An island somewhere......
I'm thinking of getting some small 1.25-1.5" growouts and was wondering if they can co-exist in a 60g. growout? Remember this is a temporary GROWOUT tank..... there will probably be 12 of each until the larger ones get aggressive/territorial and will be removed.

Tank #1
1. Trimacs
2. Umbees
3. Doviis

Tank #2
1. Grammodes
2. Haitiensis

I doubt it will last long.

Yeah it will work, but the dovii and hait will most likely grow quicker and out grow them. in my grow out tank theres about 15+ ca cichlids and get along fine and there soon moving out.....
i would say they would start being aggressive at 2.5"

My LFS got a couple dovii in with their jags by mistake. The dovii have pretty much wiped out all the jags. Hard to say how they'll do with that combo. I would say you have a better chance with the greater numbers.

I'd be very careful about mixing small haits with other fish at that size... gotta keep a careful eye out for bloat.

Thought I'd throw out that crap shoot! I was wanting to grow out a little to see if there's any standouts with color/pattern/etc. I don't have any of the forementioned, any fry that is.

The fish in tank #2 is on order as of tomorrow and I will isolate them to their own tank as growouts.
