I have a 6'' sailfin and a 6'' common. I have been given the opp. to get a 5'' or so royal for free. Can these guys get along. Right now they are in a 75g but in about 3 months the 75g will be switched to a 400-500g. It is a grow out tank now so space shouldnt be an issue soon.

I was trying to find out if there is a place on mfk that shows which plecs get along and which ones need to be carefully chosen. (ex clown plecs i know like to have company) Just trying to figure stuff out. ANY help is appreciated. Thanks

The Royal is going to grow a LOT slower than the others and plecos can be strange about new catfish tankmates...it could work out fine but then it could well be a disaster...

With the Royal you'll need to have some good driftwood in the tank. IMO it would be best to keep them all seperate until the big tanks ready. Space is a fantastic peacekeeper...

Yup.. hard to say for sure

They will 'probably' be OK.

The fact that your 2 plecs get on OK already is a good sign, but still be carefull introducing a new one and be prepared to pull it back out if need be.

I think people have more problems when they have a large plec thats been living by itself and then suddenly has company/competition in ITS territory. If they are in a relatively peacefull group already then there is less likely to be a serious fight break out. There may be a few minor scuffles while they work out the new pecking order, but thats normal pleco behaviour.

In the bigger tank they should be fine, plenty of space to get out of each others faces.

Cheers
