can they both live together?

I want to get a black ghost knife and a clown knife. Can they both live together in the same tank (would be a 400L) providing there are lots of plants and lots of hiding places?

what r the dimensions of the tank, because if im not mistaken 400l is about 100 gallons, which probably isn't good enough for the clown

a clown will out grow your tank and i'd say the ghost may get beat up so i'd just go with the black ghost

The Clown will grow faster than the BGK...

As mentioned your tank doesn't sound big enough for a Clown...

The experiences of people housing BGK's with Cichlids is completely different than the common speculation. I've kept BGK's with Cichlids for many years and have never had an issue with the Cichlid harrassing the BGK... My BGK's only cause problems for my Cichlids when the Cichlids have fry (and the BGK is VERY effective at eating fry in the face of defending parents). So be it Clown Knives are not Cichlids, but I would exkept the same interactions...

It all depends on the size of both fis and tank size.

I kept a baby bgk with a young ck in a 75 for a while. no problems


I cant say for adult fish

my BKG and clown get along fine, I have a pipe for the bkg to hide in his about6-7" . I took a picture and post it on the arowanna site
