Ok, i finally have some pics of my sick betta. I posted the question before when I noticed that he started having a growth above his gill a while back. He appeared to act normal, but now he is having some internal growth in his belly, and the gill area is getting disgusting. He now hides in all the ornaments (which before he never hid, always active) and "crashes" on the bottom and stays there all day, only coming out for short periods if i am feeding.

You can see the red swelling around the gill, and on the top picture you can see, slightly, the swelling of the midsection behind his fin.

Can anyone help me save this fish?

sorry to say rally is right!!:(

Do you guys have any idea what this is though? If he has to go, then he has to go....but i would like to know what is the possible root of this condition, to make sure i can treat the water properly so it does not spread to the other fish, or happen again if i replace him...

If he pulls through or not i would recommend dosing your tank withAquarium products QUICK CURE .............It's a multi fish medicine for parasites...........should help kill off whatever it is you have in your tank wreaking havok................take out all carbon...dose...........25% w/c.................dose...................then bib w/c............Good luck!!

Sadly, I don't think your fish can be saved. It's either a tumor or possibly fish TB (red sores are a symptom.)

Looks like a tumor

Arnold Swarznegger voice: "It's not a tumor!"

Ewurm voice: "I think it's a tumor."

It could be a tumor, it would be best to put him down. I hear asphyxiation is a lot less painful than freezing though. Sorry to hear about him :(
