since this morning my 2 orinos (1 columbian and 1 rio meta..the columbian is female the rio is male) have been flaring at eachother and to me looks like spawning moves the way they are acting..i know they arent spawning yet and yet to young..but can they pair off at this size already? the col. is 8-9'' the rio is 7-8''..just curious because if they can i will move them to a diffrent tank when i move my fish to the 450 and keep the orinos seperate..also they have been swimming side by side for days now and just keep to eachother..

Very interesting mike!! be curious to see what happens in the future!

While it might be the early stages of mating behavior, at this size I do not think it would be an automatic paring off situation. I would wait and keep an eye on them.

Seem small to be spawning

i know they arent old enuff to spawn i'm asking if its possible they are pairing up? either way i am going to switch them to their own tank later on..i'll post a video tomorrow

Give em 3 years before you decide to seperate em. By then you will know if you have a pair. Until then, you can enjoy them together as a group.
