I have a tsn with my jar, and everything is fine for now. keep them both well feed to lessen aggression. Eventually you may need to separate though because tsns get 4-5"
A TSN is fine with an aro. Infact pretty good combination imho. Anything which is leftover from the feeding and sink to the bottom will be food for the TSN. But do note that when a TSN is well fed, it will grow much faster than an aro.
I have a 6" tsn and a 10" rtc x tsn with my 7" jar and so far no problems... Tiger shovelnose cats grow a lot slower then redtail cats but tsn's get bigger then jars... might out grow the jar and eventually need to be seperated but I think it should be good for a while at least IMO
all the hype on tsn growth threw me way off, i bought one back in feb and 5 months later it barely grew like 5", bought my rtc in december and 8 months later its like 15" lol
it should be okay as long as the tsn is somewhere the same size as the jar but jars pick on fish for no reason. i'd never own a jar again
