I have a 90 gallon tank with a fire eel, black ghost knife, red tail black shark, opalne gourami, 3 serpae tetra, 3 white skirt tetra, 3 blood eye tetra, a clown pleco, and 5 giant danio. I'm looking to get 3-5 silver dollars, i know they get quite large and i am upgrading my tank within a year so thats not a problem. I dont know if they will get along with all the fish in my tank so i was wondering which ones would and would not. Thank you!!

In my experience, as long as they arent small enough to fit in one of the other fish's mouths, they do just fine. They get along with just about any fish. I have never had a problem with any sds in my tanks

how old are ur sd, i just got 4 1 big and 3 small the small ones have spots is that normal?

Your Fire eel might be having himself a lovely feast on the rest of your stock..

Waiting a year to upgrade might be too long... what size?

I don't think your stock will work together for long.. I'm almost sure of it..

Fire eel will need a tank of his own... Id say to start with 125g.

Right now I have 4 that are about 4-5 in and 3 that are about 1.5 in. The spotted Silver dollars are just a different type. They are exactly the same as the normal silvers but they just have spots. My small ones are spotted. I wanted them to be alittle different than the others I already add. They reside in my SA tank with some big fish and do great.

No feast for a fire eel, they are very peaceful, especially mine he is quite shy. He usually only hangs out on one side of the tank with the red tail black shark and black ghost knife. I was thinking of moving all my tetra's to my smaller 30 gallon grow out tank, its practically empty just has a albino red fin shark. i have a 90 gallon right now, i wanted to get a decent sized tank when i move into my own place so not sure yet, but big lol.

My fish are quite mini and the silver dollars at the store are basically the same size as my white skirt tetra's, so i think they'll be safe. besides they'll grow soon too!

You say you own them yourself, what do you feed them as a daily food and other treats featured in there diets?
