Im in a bit of a bind... my gf got me a fire eel, and I already have two. The two I have are in their own tanks, and they are all too small for my big tank... could I put them all together to level out aggression? One is 16 inches, one is 10 inches, and the newcomer is about 7 inches

I would not try putting a 7incher in with a 16incher... but I kept my 3 together for over 2yrs w/out any major mishaps. their was some aggression but feeding them well and letting them pick-out their heirachy helped alot ( ie I fed the most aggressive one always first) your 10incher and 7incher should catch-up to your 16incher in a few monthes.. when all are more or less the same size they can all be introduced to a new tank together ( I would not add them all to ones tank, as the stablished eel is very likely to have claimed the tank already and may kill the other 2 before they can settle in.) I also stuck with 1 large hideing spot they shared opposed to giveing them each a hide spot they could claim. It can def be done but in the end I would just be very aware of how they get along and tweek things as needed/if needed.
