can tiger barbs live with tinfoil barbs

I haave 2 pretty large tinfoil barbs in a 125 gallon. Can i put my school of 6 medium sized tiger barbs with them?

why wouldn't you be able to?

I just wanted to know if they were compatible. My tinfoil barbs eat little fish like mosquito fish very aggresively in the past.

As long you don't put goupies, or any long tail fish species cause when tinfoil barb hungry it will almost eat anything or try a tatse on those long tail, fins fishes then you're fine

this is an old post but i did put the tiger barbs with the tinfoil barbs and they killed 2 and I put them back

Hahah so true. I have a small(ish, put on 2.5 inches in 3 months ha) tinfoil in my 90. He sure loves those baby salvinis that get too far from mama! Heh. He is getting chunky. Hopefully he won't get too big before I can upgrade to a larger tank, hopefully in the next few months. Great fish.

Too bad the tiger barbs were munched. Those make great schoolers. I wonder If my giant danios will be ok if they live as long as he will?

It must be an individual thing. I have six 6" TF barbs with rosy, melon and Odesa barbs and giant danios and have never seen they bother them in any way.
