can u breed pbass?

I don't know, someone who knows more about them will come. But it's not easy, and but not impossible. Males have a hump on the head as they mature. I suggest you get a huge tank, 400+
You sure can breed P-bass. A few members of this site have done it. Ric Perez is a guy in one of my local aquarium clubs (GCCA) who has spawned them and wrote an article for Tropical Fish Hobbyist. If you don't have it, I would suggest you try to get the July 2007 issue of TFH. Ric has a pretty good article he wrote about his accounts with spawning Cichla. Good luck.
My mono pair started spawning at about 12". The male was easily distinguishable by the bump, nuchal hump, or kok, on his head. I didn't have to do anything special to get mine to mate, they just started doing it on their own, although it usually occurred after a water change. Really, they seemed to spawn similar to other SA/CA cichlids only they weren't quite as aggressive towards tankmates. I never did raise any of the babies, and now I wish I had since I lost my female a couple of weeks ago.
