could i put another arowana in with the one i've got, he / she is 7months old .silver or would they just fight ? also would it have to be a silver or could it be an asian ?:help2:

tank has to be very big, and 2 aros never works, or hardly ever. get at least 3... experts say it's one or 5 ;)

I agree, although I do keep 2 silvers together. I took three tries to find a tankmate for my silver aro that he wouldn't fight with. So in my case it was one out of three, 33% not real good odds. You will want to be sure if you do atempt this, you must have away to seperate them.

Make sure you have lots of surface area, because most likely you're going to have to divider the tank for the time being once you introduce them.

if its like two silvers then theres a good chance that it can very well work out. considering the fact that silvers are one of the least territorial arows and usually swim in groups in the amazon anyway. a tip would be to feed them pellets instead of live food. it just makes them more docile i guess. furthermore do not put ANY decorations in the tank such as driftwood or plants because it would give the arows an excuse to 'claim' or 'mark' their territory. empty tanks are the best.
