UV creates ozone in the air by ozone generators via the use of UV lamps or coronal arcs. Reason I ask if it creates ozone in the water is that I have read UV sterilizers have no effect at destroying organisms outside of the UV filter but the creation of ozone would proove otherwise as its a powerful oxidizer I believe.

uv kill is limited to the water that flows by the tube
ozone for tanks is normally created by a generator and the ozone in bubbled into the water as a gas.......kills the bad guys.....not so good inside you house however
