Can wild snails infect fish

Hi guys I have a sealed ecosystem with pond snails that are laying eggs (it's just a coffee jar). Is there a way to tell if the snail has any parasites or other issues that could cause problems for fish.

I was thinking of adding a few to my main tank but I'm not sure what to look for in terms of snail health.

Any and all feed back appreciated.

If these ones are directly taken from the wild (not second generation), assume there may be some parasites.
Anything second generation or further should be clean(er).

The large one in there is from the wild but all the small ones are it's off spring.

If the larger snail has any thing though is there a chance it could pass on to the young.

I don’t think it’s much of a worry. Going off of breeding feeders such as guppies and shrimp, second or third generation usually isn’t supposed to be a problem.

I lost a few of my prized clown loaches after giving them a (treat) of live snails from an auction.

Oh really I'm sorry to hear that, was they wild snails or tank bread.

In that scenario if the chain was broken then no the mother snail wouldn't pass the parasite to the babies. By broken I mean the fish and bird cycle. Other pathogens could be passed through the generations depending on the pathogens life cycle. If you qt the adult wild caught snail and then the babies from it sperating them after "birth" the chances of a fish affecting pathogen living through the generations is small, not impossible but small.
