I was just in Walmart and passed by the fish section....They had Red Bellied Pacu, they had that they get a max of 10"!!! I couldn't believe it. Well yes I could being Walmart. They also had Columbian Sharks only get 6". Where do they get their info? I was just in disbelief and thought I would share.

My petco doesn't even put up a sign telling people that their cute little 2" pacus will grow into monsters. They just say something like "Please ask an employee to find a fish that's right for you". I would assume that the manager has kept all the fish, and they probably all died before they reached bigger than 10"

They should pin up a lifesize paper cutout of an adult of each spieces. I guarantee that would all but put an end to senseless fish purchases once someone got a visual of a full grown PACU.

Walmart does not want to deter anyone from buying fish. They don't care if the fish is well taken care of and would probably rather have it die. Just so they can sell more fish.

haha i was just up at mine and seen the "10 inch" ich infested pacus, i told the person running the section that they grow a lot bigger than that. Oh well theyll find out.
