Hey, I was wondering if you could bend glass or starphire/starfire to make a cylindrical tank, or can you only do that with acrylic? Thanks.

You can form glass into a bend while it is hot/cooling, but you can't simply take a pane of glass and bend it. I'm assuming that "bent" acrylic is made the same way - if you simply bent a large pane of acrylic and cemented it (I believe that is what they call the technique for bonding acrylic) to two vertical panes, there would be a ridiculous amount of torque/force acting on the seal.

this might come off as rude but thats not the intention, you do know that you can google your questions right?

To answer your question, yes you can bend glass but you would need to heat the glass until its pretty much red hot then curve it. its not something you could do by yourself and i'm not sure if you could make a glass cylinder that would be sturdy enough to make a big tank out of. Acrylic is the way to go for round tanks
