Can you clean a net?

I know it may sound like a dumb question, but is there any fish safe way to clean a regular fish net. I'll use them to get a dead fish or move new fish from store water in those bags, and I wonder if there is any way to clean the net, besides just rinsing it out under the faucet.

in the store i work at we put binox in the net soak bucket and change the water regularly

Howdy,

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I just rinse mine out and let it dry. I never disinfect. If you feel the urge to disinfect it nevertheless, I suggest a diluted bleach solution.

We used that net soak from jungle at the shop I worked at also but I've never bothered with my nets at home. I don't use them all that often though so they dry thoroughly between uses.

you could always go with the old reliable..bleach it will kill all the bacteria for ya
