Can you cure HITH

Given some fish from horrible tank conditions that have hith and have tried numerous attempts to cure it. Ive heard that once contracted it is impossible or near impossible to cure. What do you think,or know?

you can cure hith. but, the scars will always remain. what fish of yours is infected?

Old Oscars, i didnt really want them but they are real big and i felt at liberty to save them.

Oscars are notorious for getting hith. have you tried Protazon treatment for them?

Ill give it a try. A few things ive tried,pimafix ,melafix, Hith tablets. Methaleyne blue ect

p.s do at least twice weekly water-changes. much more effective than most hith treatments.

Thank you. I do water changes frequently and my tanks and parameters are very acceptable. Never the less i will do more frequent water changes. Thanx

you kno what i have the same problem with 2 oscars that my brother bought from petsmart about a month ago. i have been trying to get rid of it since i got back fromm school, im just scared it will spred to the rest of the tank

All my other fish are fine,even my other oscars. Only the two i picked up,that were infected have this disease
