My thesis fish are currently being treated with copper, but they are still dieing. Since I only need the brain I was wondering if I could eat the meat.

?

I would not eat sick fish. Its not just the med you have to worry about but the infected meat as will. If you already put Dimilin in the tank from your other thread than it is very toxic. That is why Dimilin is not for public use.

It usually says somewhere on the meds that they are not to be used for fish that will be consumed,or something along those lines. So it is probably not a good idea.
But they are your fish and your body.............:screwy:

No, i wouldn't because if the disease/sickness is a zoonose (a disease which can be passed on from animals to humans, then that could affect you. A common zoonose contracted is fish tuberculosis, which obviously when contracted in humans, is very unpleasant and usually fatal. Why do you want its brain in the first place?

Seriously? Come on dude. If you're that hungry I'll buy you a fish sandwich.

I only ask because I have lost 2 flounder since the treatment and they could have fed 6 people. One of them being myself, and I love flounder.
