can you have to much purigen

was wondering can you have to much purigen. want to get some for my 38, 55, 90, and 125's. I know i don't have to have them but it would make me feel better.
 
i dont think you can have to much,but i also dont think most people use and over abundance of it on their tanks,not sure what a very large amount might do to the water chemistry.
I only use enough to fill up a net bag that fits and aqua clear 110(on my 180)and it does a perfect job.
 
People don't use a lot of purigen do to the cost. The figure major water changes on a frequent basis will do the same job. They are right to a point. Purigen will help with large bio-loads and will also help if the water used to fill the tank has phosphates, nitrates or is discolored. You can't have too much, but you can pack a filter bag to the point that water can't get through the bag and bypasses it instead.
