I need help identifying a fish I got for free. One afternoon I went into petco and saw this fish with almost all of his fins bit off and looking like he hadn't had a meal in a very long time, initially I thought he was a silver dollar but he has piranha like teeth, if you have any idea as to what he is please comment, we took him without know what he was so we could do better by him I wish we would've take a before picture to show you the terrible emaciated state he was surrended to petco in but we've been healing his fins and feeding him flakes and blood worms and he seems to love both. Thank you for any help in advance

It has the slight overbite of a pacu, but I don't believe I've ever seen anything quite like it. Perhaps as it's health improves, some colors my come out and make it easier to identify. Really big eyes, almost like a young manueli.
It does look a lot like a baby manny but the shape of the back is way off. Maybe when he puts on some weight we might know better
