I have had this fish for 10 months I think maybe less. Nip is the name she was 1" when I got her she is almost 4" now showing some good color. She does not have the worm marks but has spot on the cheeks and a little bit of lines on the head. Her temperment makes me think female she is laid back and sweet does her own thing never fights. I thought females did not have any marks onthe face or body and she clearly has spots. Her fins are not very long.

What do you think.

have I been right in calling it a females?

Yeah, looks female.

is it a pure green? it has very pretty spotting for a green (actually the prettiest green sev i have seen :) )

She could be a mutt in fact I bet she is. I rescued her from a pet shop that did not even know what they were. She had ich and looked sad. Yes she does have more spots then other greens I have seen. The spots were what made me think she might be a he.

Thanks you. She keeps looking better and better as she grows. That's what I love about them watching them grow.
