Can you hook a gravel vac to an ehiem?

So my fish make lots of poop, can i hook a gravel vac to the intake on my ehiem classic 2217? What parts would i need and such?

No lie. vacuuming to a canister just means more frequent canister maintenance. Additionally, gravel vacs are usually associated with water changes so, even after clogging your canister, you still have to make provisions for completing routine water changes.
