Thank you!

If you don't KNOW what they are (bought them as wild caught or offspring of wild caught fish) then you never really know. Fortunately it doesn't really matter since the care is the same. Depending on how you define species they may or may not even be different species.

I know there were bought at the Lfs where I buy from. Just that these were a gift from my girl. She asked me what kind if fish I have and she told me she just asked then for peacocks and she picked the nicest ones. These are the only peacocks I have that I don't know the type. Thank you

If they came out of an 'assorted' tank you have to assume they are 'hybrids' (if you believe they are all different species in the first place).

I dont think they came from an assorted tank. She paid $15.00 for each one. I know they keep their peacocks separate. I just want to know their scientific names.

Then you should probably contact the store, that is the only way to really know. $15 each for fish that size that look that good could definitely be assorted, I know they would have been at the shop I was running (and would have been more like $18-20).

orange one looks like a jacob fregi(cant spell it right), and the yellow one i think is a yellow jake, go 2 google and type in aulunacara, i no thats the scientific name for peacocks
