Can you ID this Jar please?

I've had him for about 3 months, purchased him as a "black jardini" from anothr MFK member. He has reddish spots on his scales. Wonderful fish with an awesome personality. He is currently about 10 inches.View attachment 829956

Yeah I didn't think he was a special rare jar. The previous owner called it "black" didn't know if it was irregular or not.

He shares a tank with the fish in my signature. I can't confirm that he is the killer, but two rainbow sharks have disappeared in the last two months and three rosaline sharks. Yesterday, a 5 inch bala shark swam into him, and Zilla (his name) put his mouth around the bala's head but released it. Just a matter of time.

I'm slowly stashing money away for a larger tank. Whats the minimum size tank requirement for a solo jar to last its whole life? I heard they don't get as large as silvers.

Ideally an 8' X 4' tank for life. You could probably get away with a 6 X 3 at the minimum.
