I heard somebody say this was ok and I wanted to see what you guys think because I am getting a 125 mbuna tank soon and a female butti would be a great edition.

female or male buttis are always aggressive and it killed my mayan one flowerhorn and red devil so may be not

I was told that females are smaller and less aggresive. Do you agree with that statement?

overall aggression will depend on the individual fish and how they take to certain tank mates. Females are typically smaller but you're still talking about a potentially 10-12" fish.

I have a 135 mbuna setup and due to the structure(rock work) I don't think I could physically fit an adult in my tank lol. Size and attitude wise a Butti would be better suited to my CE/SA setup.

Any fish combo can work, but i wouldn't put a Butti in my mbuna tank

It can work, keep her well fed. Never teach it to eat live things!
Also add a lot a rock work and hiding spots. Buttikoferi's are way too slow to catch a mbuna.

Remember every fish has their own personality. This means some will be peaceful while others are complete psycho killers!
If your getting a female butti, make sure it is the least aggressive one and small. :) Good Luck. Keep us updated.

Just so you guys know, I don't have the tank yet so I wouldn't be introducing the female butti to my already established tank. The mbunas would enter the tank at the same time the butti does, plus I am getting the butti as a juvenile.
