With two fish of same species in same tank can you keep them from breeding? With out separating them in two tanks and without putting up a divider? Or is their nature going to over come anything I do and they just bump like the fish they are

Um...what Crush and Karl said. I'm setting up a breeder aquarium (guppies and cherry shrimp) just to keep feeding costs down. We also have a lfs here that gives store credit for babies. My daughter has a small guppy tank (along with a little otocinclus) and she's keeping the first batch of babies, 4 cute little guys, but selling any new fry that come along.

i had lotsa fh in 2002 back in college. even 3-4 inches just laid their eggs on the glass. after that, they eat 'em. no prob. self-cleaning :D.
