really i need more info on what natives you want to keep but if it is anything from the south or sunfish here will be no problen with temp just keep it arount 75 and you should be fine

centrarchids seem to do well in the same temps that tropical fish live in

Depends on the fish. Some natives would do fine with warmer temps...sunfish, largemouths, bullhead etc. Some would not handle the temp at all, such as trout. Your gonna have to be more specific.
