need some advice or maybe this is just a yes or no question. can you layer glass to build an aquarium? local glass dealer has some old tempered glass from wal-mart doors that are 68" x 35". can i layer those to build a tank ? was going to put a plywood and probrably a 2x6 frame around that if it would work. don't have alot of money ,just love fish and am going to need a bigger tank for my clown knives soon. again it is tempered glass so i would have to build it that size for the bottom/back/front then check all my dimensions and order the end pieces which probrably wont be cheap either. any advice you can give would be appreciated. dont want to waste the money if it wont work. thanks

forgot to add that the glass is 3/16 tempered was going to layer 3 for the bottom and the back since it would have the extra support of the plywood and layer 4 or possibly 5 for the front. 4 would make it 3/4 and 5 would be an inch. any advice would be helpful and maybe save alot of time and money.. thanks
