Can you mount cichlids

Nearly all mounts receive some spraypainting to rejuvenate the colors. It would serve you well to bring some example pics for the taxidermist to use as a guide.

Yep, definitely bring pics. With your normal bluegill, bass, etc. the taxidermist will know what they're supposed to look like offhand. There's a good chance they've never seen a festae before.

agreed. its a pricey business so you want it look good.
pics will be vital when the time comes.

Ive seen some taxidermy websites that they do cichlids, such as oscars, blood parrot cichlids, tilapia, any cichlids that comes from Florida lol. I also seen Pacu, piranhas, goldfish, koi and few larger tropical fish wall mounts.

Agreed.I had a large Tanganyican Tilapia done and the taxidermist charged per inch,don't remember the ammount but he did'nt do a really good job on it.Probably, as someone already pointed out,because he was'nt familiar with the fish and it's colors.
