My big guy always seems to be begging for food, kinda like an oscar. I feed him everyday, and he gorges himself till he's bloated. He doesnt through up, but he does need to go rest after he eats. But am I doing a bad thing by letting him eat so much? Do these fish get greedy enough to hurt themselves by eating too much?

yes it is possible my large dat has threw up twice he was so greedy he ate everyones food.
it was really bad too i lost a fish due to it.

it eat around 18 whitebait, 6 prawns and pellets too.
the whitebait were around 2-3'' each and all this food was for a tigrinus,RTG aro,ray plus the dat and a few other smaller fish.
it did this twice and brought up the lot the next day whilst i was at work, i came back to some really bad water and lost a 6'' geophagus.
i actually consider myself lucky as i could have lost a lot more.
