Ive seen some people remove the frame from the top of their 10g tanks making it rimless. Can it be done to a 29g?

it can be done to any tank but sometimes not good. i personally would say it depends on the manufacturer because the ones from petco/ walmart and such are very thin glass and i wouldnt do that. i had a 30 and a 55 that was half inch thick glass. the 55 had no bow and no center support from the factory.i wish i would have tried it on those before i got rid of them.

I believe that the taller the tank, the more chance of deflection. However, I don't think you'll have any problems with a 29g. Do at your own risk!

Rimless is a beautiful look for sure.

It should be fine. I have a 50 long that I did it with. It is now fully planted and looks great. Can't wait until the plants fill out the whole tank...

Id have a tank on stand by before I tried it if I were you.

Do NOT take the bottom plastic off if your stand is a flat surface. The bottom of the tank must be "rim supported" and the plastic trim under the tank creates that. If your stand is only rim support you would probably be ok like that.
