cool, how can you tell?

Top, first picture is male......Anal tube is really thin, almost 100% sure it is male........

Green Terror is definate female....If that is the anal tube, definate female........If one is going by shape of body, note the lack of a nuchal hump on the forehead, then I would have lean more towards female, again.......

I think the thing you think is the anal tube may actually be the fin tip from the other side, I'm not sure. Any thought on the Uaru?

That is definitely not a fin, it's her breeding tube. Her caudal/anal fins aren't elongated, have little detail in them and she's overall not as colorful as a male would be.

But she does look huge and mean as hell lol

Post a better face shot of the severum... but it looks female too (I don't see any breeding tube on it ??)

awesome thanks. Here is a better face shot of severum and another shot of Uaru.

In Uaru species both sexes look the same. You would have to vent it or wait til it spawns to know for sure.

Severum looks female to me. Males usually have a lot of face markings in the cheeks and between the eyes... and elongated fins, like this:

Females are smoother.

Yep, anything else is simply guessing. I've keps many groups of them over the years and it is impossible to tell until they spawn (unless you vent them).
