If you are talking about your 2 Green Terrors, they are not mouth brooders. They will lay their eggs on a flat surface, in a clay pot, or something and guard them. You will know if they breed or even start to breed. The other fish will have nipped fins and will get chased away any time they get near the eggs.
Ok I'm new to breeding, but to me it looks as though one of the GT's is getting a plump belly. I will put aa flat rock in the tank for them. Maybe I should move the Jag to another tank temporarily as I believe she is also carrying eggs.
They could just be full of food, a way to tell if they are pregnant is to just look under the stomach and if there a tube like thing popping out a tiny bit and its very small and whiteish then theres babies on the way Good Luck!!
Oh that is good to know, I will check that out! The Jag certainly seems to be nesting. She's moving rocks out of a corner to the other side of the tank and chasing the other fish out of her corner.
Hope this turns out well, lol.
I wonder what the offspring of Jag /Jack Dempsey or a Jag/Green Terror will look like...
