Would I be able to put a little sample of soil in a test tube and use the PH solution from my aquarium PH test kit? ANyone try it before?

Most likely yes, but you would have to use distilled water. You wouldn't want the pH of the water affecting your test results on your soil.
I am gonna try it then. The only thing I worry about is if my PH test is old. I think it may be coming up around 2 years old.
