Can you use glass and acrylic together or ?

I have a 750 gallon aquarium that I would like to replace the ends do to scratches and chipping. Currently it is not setup and in pieces. Any other possible ideas? Glass would be $900 for two new panels. Just looking for a lower cost fix and it does not have to be transparent.

im not sure either, but i wouldnt think so because they bend differently i think

Are you thinking of sealing the glass and acylic directly together? If so, I'm not sure if there is a caulking that would stick to both the glass and acrylic.
