Can you use metronidazole on fry?

anyone? My festae fry have to have something...randomly some will stop eating and die...white poop...and the parents acting off too. Female will dart across tank from time to time (wasnt sure if its sickness or the fry are pissing her oof) but they also twitch there heads if that describes it right. Not breeding behavior. Fry are still in with the parents so I am sure its all related. I would like to treat the tank but dont know with what as to not kill the small ones.
