Just like the subject says, can you use rubber pipe coupling for aquariums? I'm thinking of using two 90 degree rubber couplings for some of the plumbing as it would just be easier to attach. Are these couplings toxic?
Thanks all!

thanks! to confirm, the product in the picture is what I had in mind (but a 90 degree). I know these plumbing couplings are meant for under the sink drainage-not for drinking, this is why I wanted confirmation...how do you know they aren't toxic?1240624323U11ZqR.jpg

depending on the size, you can buy it by the foot

Id say there non toxic...i have some rubber elbows on my saltwater shark tank with no problems...lots of our gaskets for pums and what not are made of rubber aswell. I like using them with pvc and plastic hose

The only reason I'm concerned is because on the label it says for use on drains and waste and whatnot, no mention of can be used for drinking water...

ha, I called the company directly today of the product home depot carries, and they do not reccommend using it in aquariums or drinking water for that matter...probably to cover themselves...
