Hey y'all!
As many of you who follow my Facebook feed already know, I was diagnosed with cancer on February 23rd. My cancer is very aggressive, and spread from stage one to stage three in two months. Roughly the same time as I was formally diagnosed, I had recently succeeded in getting my fish tank set back up for the first time since 2013. I lamented this fact in my post about my cancer because I found it ironic that as soon as my tank was set back up, something happened that would prevent me from stocking it with more monster fish.
Cut to a few months later. I've had my surgery, I've lost 40 pounds, I'm hopped up on pain pills, and I'm starting to be someone functional as a human being again. My wife suddenly and randomly INSISTS that I have to ride with her to go do some errands. I found this curious, but I was just happy to get out of the house. Things got strange when we got to the FedEx depot, a place we never have a reason to go. Things got REALLY strange when she insisted on going in without me.
NSFW, language warning (forgive me, I was pretty hopped up on pain pills lol)
I'm not sure if the vids will work since they're hosted on Facebook.
As it turns out, a coalition of my friends, wonderful people from the fish and reptile communities, got together to try to ease a cancer patient's struggle to heal. They succeeded wildly! I need to (once again) thank everyone involved with this:

, Laura, Laura, Eugene, Nick, Heather, Keith, my wife Serena, and last but not least Lexi, the hyperactive little lady who organized the whole thing.

Here's the result of this endeavor, a new arowana from Aquascape and a new flash zebra catfish from Discus Origins.

And the jur; it came skinny like this....

...But after a few weeks, it's grown an inch and has fattened up nicely.

All in all, this was one of the best surprises of my life. I can't express to y'all how happy this whole deal has made me.
This has literally changed my life, and makes the pain of the surgery and treatment worth it.
