Haven't seen driftwood cats in a while. I had a group about 25 years ago. Tried getting them to spawn but, no success. I was missing a trigger I couldn't figure out. How large are you finding them in the wild?

BTW, If I was in Ceara, I'd probably be tempted to forgo the live fish in order to work the Santana Formation for some awesome 3D fossil fish. I would love to find my grail fish. The Axelrodichthys araripensis.

Yeah, the fossils from there are awesome. There some kinds of floor coating come from that region that have little fishes in it.

They were little, about 12 cm, I found 4 while searching for ghost shrimp (bait). I really wanted to take then, I guess they would be a nice trash eater in my tank. haha

Is there any succesful report about reproducing it? It take much time to reach sexual maturity?

Awesome cats. Would be really cool to see someone breeding them in captivity. Are the pics above your's? If not I'd like to see some of your wild caught ones. :)

No, theyre not. =(

I have some project for university, and maybe I will keep collecting fish there. If it happens I will try to get some pics of then.

That would be sweet. Please keep us updated. Could be valuable in the future to have all the info we can get. :)
