hey ppl, This is my thread on a 2400 gallon arowana pond build..

http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=390087

as stated i'm actually using the sump to stow my heaters, pumps etc in there.. i just had a doubt.. the canisters i'm buying are just the filter units and water gets pumped in through a pump.. i was wondering if i could make an array of canisters.. say from the pump i move water to canister A and from the out of canister A to the in of canister B and back to the pond.. i have planned two canisters and two pumps.. was wondering if i could add some more canisters in this manner.. question is would it give me more filtration.. is it useful? please let me know cheers..

I use ocean clear canisters in tandem on one of my 125s. It came with them, and i think they work great. The first definitely works more than the second, but the second one catches what the first misses. My main purpose for keeping both though is the additional bio i put in the second one.

I think it should work fine as long as the filters don't have individual pumps, and your one pump is strong enough. I don't know how many is too many, but i personally wouldn't do anymore than 2.

thanks joe.. could you post a pic or somethin please.. right now the plan is two 14000 l/h pumps move water into 2 canisters individually.. and each canister can do 15000 l/h.. thats almost 3X turnover.. well lets see.. jus gonna give it some more time to read what other people think..

ecoli.. my exact question.. does this offer anythin more or it doesnt??
