Hi guys, long time reader first time poster. I have been reading up on DIY canister filter to do the filtration on my 'not-so-monster' 250 Gallon tank. I would like to do one of the following projects for my canister.....
1) Canister 1
2) Canister 2
Now the pump I am going to purchase is a pond pump with a flowrate of 3200 GPH. it can be found here. Now the question I have is how can I connect the pump to the canister filter? In the image of the pump it does not seem to have a inlet for a pipe but rather a fan based suction. I was planning on using the pump on the outlet of the canister to create suction for the syphon inside the tank. But I can't seem to find out how to connect it. Is this pump designed more for a sump? If so can somebody point me towards a pump that is best suited for a canister.
