canister filter mod.

HI all

I have two cfs 500 canisters that i would like to run them to gather using a quiet one 6000. I will pull the pumps of the canisters. run a T off the Quiet one pump, that will connect to the canister at the bottom using the canisters plug hole. I will take the return line on the canister and make it another inlet to the canister. any body see any problem with this?

Sounds interesting. My only concern would be if the pump would put more pressure through the canisters than they are rated for and potentially causing a leak. Have you researched the amount of pressure a 600 would put through the canisters?

It should just be negative pressure,because the pump will be taking water out of the bottom of the canister.

well I got the filter hooked up and every thing seems to be working. I'm going to let it run over night to see how it goes.
