Canister filter suggestions for 75g

Haven't bought a canister filter in awhile and need a replacement for my 75g. I was just going to get an fx5 but I don't think it'll fit in the stand. The filter that broke was a fluval 405/4 and i've always found it to be a PITA to prime and start. That's just in my experience. I'm looking for a reliable canister filter that's easy to use and maintain.

I want to go as big as possible, filter wise, but I don't want the current being too crazy.

Suggestions? Thanks guys.

Well 2 of my really good friends both swear by their FX5's.

Both have 125Gal tanks and have had zero problems with there canister's.

That would be my recommendation

I love fx5's but daaaaaang.....I bought a few when they were $200 I don't know if I want to pay $350...jeeez.

I'm looking for something less than $300.....so still looking for filter suggestion or places to find fx5's for less.

You can find FX5s on eBay for $230 shipped.

I don't know if you will find it enough, but I saw eheim 2217 at 150$ medias included (Big Al's). You could get two of them.
