Is it just me, or has anyone else wondered WHY some company can't come out with the best combination of features from the best filters?
I love the FX5/6, but WHY can't it be computerized like the G series? Also, (and I've complained to Hagen about this), the drain tube it horrible - it leaks when you try to push on the drain tube, and it should have a right angle to it for easier usage when you have it stored under a cabinet (it should be made out of, or reinforced with metal). Also, I wouldn't mind seeing them made out of clear acrylic, so you can see when to clean the filters. Is it really that hard to add a digital readout to SHOW you what your water chemistry is, or an indicator to suggest a filter cleaning (and log when the last cleaning was)? I just can't see that it would add that much to the cost.
Anyone have any opinions on high volume systems other than the FX6? (FWIW, I end up having to clean the sponges about once a month or so, on my 90gal).
