What canister would you use for a 150 Tall 48x24x30? Now that I don't have monsters in my tank I think I may switch back to a canister. Here is what I require:

Ease of Maintainence
Easy to get under/ out of stand
NO unsightly tubes in the tank
Only want one canister

What would you use, I know now that I'm going full planted a canister maybe better.

I would recommend against going with only one cannister. If the single cannister broke or quit running it leaves your fish without life support.

I am running a 2026 and a 2226 eheims on my 120g planted tank.

Actually, the plants are the primary filter. My 135 has run for weeks with no filters.

I know I had that planted 72 gallon bow front that I reduced to just the magnum 350 which was more then fine. Not sure I would chance it though if I were stocking Monsters.

I agree, I have a 10 Gal Heavily planted and a few shrimp, and i have never had a filter on it, just did weekly water changes and a small airstone airating the water for the shrimp
